I should warn you that the book will get gruesome and explicit in some areas. The book was written with a dark theme in mind and explores the idea of evil being relative. When writing it, I tried to give it the feeling of manga/comic turned to a novel.
Synopsis:
Five years ago a disease known as the Onyx Tide spread
across the face of planet. Failing to fight back the black tendrils that left
the planet on death's row, each region began the construction of large
platforms that would be built high above the planet's surface.
Now, things are getting worse. Rumours about a cult who
worship the Onyx Tide are popping up. People say that this cult lives in the
Black Lands, ground zero for where the disease started.
With mutants roaming the planet's surface, and no cure for
the Onyx Tide in sight; resources are running thin. The minister of one
region has gone missing and her replacement speaks of war. People with
tremendous abilities are appearing as well but vanishing just as quickly as
they are dragged away to be experimented on.
They have survived for five years. Can the human race now
live through the battle between the disease and themselves?
Note: The short stories are canon however do not directly relate to the plot of the novel.
